One of the most common entry points into another culture is through food. It transcends linguistic barriers to instill collective identities and bridge cultures through sensory perceptions.

The Thai diaspora in Berlin disrupts conventional understandings of physical boundaries enforced by nation-states through a partially reconstructed sense of place held within the act of cooking.

One of the most common entry points into another culture is through food. It transcends linguistic barriers to instill collective identities and bridge cultures through sensory perceptions.

The Thaipark is a practiced spatial appropriation. A cultural phenomenon that has endured through the appreciation of food.

This project reconstructs and reinterprets this knowledge gained from the Thaipark in order to generate a space for cultural exchange and belonging.
